In mathematics and the arts, two quantities are in the golden ratio if the ratio of the sum of the quantities to the larger quantity is equal to the ratio of the larger quantity to the smaller one. Uhm what? Nevermind.
Carl Kleiner here used cut paper, and math, to create these colorful works of geometry. Titled 'Golden Ratio & Friends', this series is one example how math can be used to create something beautiful. Though math itself may seem beautiful to you geniuses out there, but oh well it was never my thing.
